Editorial Bridals at a Photo Studio in Salt Lake City, Utah

I recently had the pleasure of photographing an ex-bride. Yup. You heard that right. Madison was celebrating 1 year since her divorce and asked if we could do a photoshoot in her old wedding dresses while also celebrating everything she’s accomplished in that year.

Photographing this moment at a photo studio just felt right. It was such an intimate setting and we wanted to play with a fun background color. I also just really love the editorial look that a photo studio can provide. I’m definitely an ambient light girlie, but playing with studio lights and flash is so much fun and gives photos such a different look. And you know we cranked “Paint the Town Red” by Doja Cat the entire session.

I’m so grateful I got to capture Madison at this time in her life. She had spent the last year pouring back into herself. Going to therapy. Focusing on her art and her businesses. Her hobbies. Her travels. Her dreams. Her life became about choosing herself vs her life being centered around being chosen by someone else.

It’s never too late to choose yourself <3
